About Jenela Francisco

Jenela approaches her role as a Lawyer with a thoughtful and client-focused mindset, while combining her passion for advocacy with a deep understanding of the emotional and legal complexities clients face during separation and divorce.

Since beginning her practice in 2021, she has focused on family law, where she helps clients navigate everything from parenting arrangements and support issues to property division and divorce.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Jenela began her legal career as a paralegal before earning her law degree in England. She returned to Edmonton in 2019 after completing her law degree overseas, equipped with a legal education and ready to begin her legal career. Her unique background allows her to approach legal challenges with both strategic insight and practical experience.

Jenela is a dedicated litigator who confidently advocates for her clients in court. Meanwhile, she is equally committed to helping families resolve disputes outside of litigation when possible. Whether through negotiation or alternative dispute resolution, her goal is always to find the fairest, efficient, and lasting outcome for those she represents.

Outside of work, Jenela stays connected to the Filipino community and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family. She enjoys walking the scenic river valley trails in Edmonton, practicing hot yoga, and discovering hidden gems in Edmonton’s vibrant restaurant scene.
